The Pilates Reformer Instructor qualification is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to instruct clients using the Pilates Reformer. This course covers the fundamental principles of Pilates, anatomy, and physiology relevant to reformer exercises, and a comprehensive range of reformer techniques and modifications suitable for various fitness levels and special populations. This course is designed for those who have completed a Level 2 fitness Pilates qualification or equivalent.
Students need to have completed a fitness level 2 fitness instructor qualification or equivalent to enrol on the level 3 Reformer Pilates qualification. A level 3 Diploma in delivering Pilates qualification would be beneficial but not essential to undertaking this qualification.
You can choose between two flexible learning options to qualify, with up to two years to complete the course. Please note that to enrol in the online course, you must have access to your own Reformer bed.
- Online Option: Complete the theory section of the course online at your own pace. The theory is assessed through multiple-choice and coursework question-and-answer assignments. For the practical component, participate in a live practical webinar weekend via Zoom. Afterwards, submit a video assessment following specific criteria to complete your qualification.
- Blended Option: Complete the theory section of the course online in your own time at your own pace, assessed through multiple-choice and coursework question-and-answer assignments. Then, attend a practical workshop weekend at a chosen venue, where you will be assessed on specific criteria.
Both options allow you to study at your convenience while ensuring you meet the required knowledge and practical skill standards.
