The Level 4 Strength and Conditioning qualification has been designed for level 3 Personal Trainers looking to progress into the specialised field of strength and conditioning. The qualification will give you the skills and knowledge required to stand out in the industry, it includes how to improve athletic performance through a systematic approach, developing athletic qualities such as speed, strength, and power, as well as reducing sporting injuries. You will develop knowledge and understanding about the following topics:
- The biomechanical, physiological, and psychosocial factors that can affect an athlete’s sports performance.
- To be able to understand skill acquisition, the scientific principles underpinning sporting performance, and the principles behind programming strength and conditioning activities.
- Deliver a range of innovative strength and conditioning activities.
Students must have a Level 3 qualification in Personal Training. You should have basic skills in communication, must be a minimum of 16 years old to undertake this qualification.
The course itself is made up of 3 units offering both a practical and theory-based learning opportunity. Our tutors have over 20 years of industry experience, giving all our students the opportunity to learn from their knowledge and experience.
Strength & Conditioning
Unit 1 – Biomechanical, physiological and psychological factors affecting strength and conditioning for sports performance.
Unit 2 – Programming strength and conditioning activities for sports performance
Unit 3 – Delivering strength and conditioning for sports performance, this includes a practical assessment.
The assessment and duration of the Level 4 Strength and Conditioning is wholly dependent on the learning method that you opt for.
The online learning method can see you qualify in just 6-8 weeks by choosing our fast-track learning option. The qualification is assessed by completing a coursework portfolio and submitting a practical assessment.
By opting for the Face-to-Face option, you can complete the Level 4 Strength and Conditioning in a more flexible time frame. All students will complete a face-to-face practical assessment as well as answering a selection of different portfolio questions.
You will receive 2 years to complete your qualification.
